One of the biggest challenges for financial educators and counselors is encouraging their students and/or clients to adopt positive financial behaviors that can enhance their financial security. This 90-minute webinar will describe ways to prompt positive behavior change in others. The webinar will begin with a discussion of three leading behavior change theories and the concepts of locus of control and time preference. It will then discuss 20 specific financial behavior change strategies, relevant concepts from the field of behavioral finance, and implications for financial practitioners.
